On April 28, 2019, Professor Li Jin, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of Fudan University, Shanghai, accepted the post as Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics (JTGG). The support of Prof. Jin and joint efforts of Editorial Board members, are to promise JTGG a bright future.

Prof. Jin has made seminal contributions to the fields of medical genetics and genetic epidemiology, human population genetics, and computational biology. He has scored spectacular achievements in discipline construction and talent development. In 1999, Prof. Jin was awarded "Changjiang Scholar" (lecture) of Chinese Ministry of Education; in 2002, he was selected by Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology as the chief scientist for "973 Program"; in 2006, he won Chinese"National Outstanding Youth Foundation"; in 2013, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; in 2018, he won Chinese "Tan Jiazhen Award of Life Science Achievements"; and in 2019, he won the "Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievements" in Human Genome Meeting 2019. Up to now, he has published more than 310 SCI papers in international academic journals, including Nature, Science, PNAS, etc.
