Professor Sanjay Gupta, Carter Kissell Endowed Chair of Urologic Oncology, Case Western Reserve University, Was Appointed as the Next Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics
On October 14, 2020, Professor Sanjay Gupta, Carter Kissell Endowed Chair of Urologic Oncology and Research Director in the Department of Urology at Case Western Reserve University, was appointed as the next Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics (JTGG).
In the developmental process of JTGG, Prof. Gupta organized a special issue entitled "Genetics and Epigenetics of Prostate Cancer: From Etiology to Treatment" for the journal, encouraged many researchers to support the journal, and provided his professional comments on submissions to the journal. It greatly helped control the publishing quality.
The Editorial Office of JTGG highly appreciate the support of Prof. Gupta, and believe, under Prof. Gupta's guidance, and through the joint efforts of Editorial Board members, JTGG will achieve a bright future and become an influential journal in the related field.
Prof. Gupta holds secondary appointments in the Departments of Nutrition and Division of General Medical Sciences at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cleveland, Ohio. He has made seminal contributions to the fields of cancer biology, epigenetics and pharmacology, in particular, identification of biomarkers and targets, development of prognostic models and application of dietary agents for chemoprevention. Extensively cited with H-index > 60, he was awarded "American Asian Scientist Award" in 2014 and has won several awards from various professional societies. His innovative research on basic and translational aspects has been featured on NBC‐5 news and highlighted in press release by the Plain Dealer, American Association for Cancer Research, and American Urological Association. Up to now, he has published more than 150 scientific papers in international academic journals, including J Clinical Oncol, PNAS, Cancer Res, Oncogene, FASEB J, etc.
