The First Online Editorial Board Meeting of Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics Successfully Held

On 23 Sept 2022, the first online Editorial Board meeting of Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics (JTGG, Online ISSN: 2578-5281) was successfully held. Thirteen Editorial Board members attended the meeting to discuss the progress and development plan of JTGG.

Program of the meeting:
1. Current progress of JTGG in publication, citation, readership, authorship and databases application;
2. Acknowledgment to Editorial Board members who made great contributions to JTGG in Special Issues, publication, and manuscript processing;
3. Development plan of JTGG in Special Issues, webinars, interviews, and databases application;
4. Free discussion about the development of JTGG.

Firstly, Prof. Sanjay Gupta, the Editor-in-Chief, stated the current progress of JTGG from the aspects of publication, citation, distribution of readers, acknowledgments, and so on.

Then, Jane Lee, the Managing Editor, reported the development plan of JTGG, including manuscript processing, Special Issues, webinars, interviews and databases application.
Following the two parts, Prof. Sanjay Gupta, the Editor-in-Chief, organized a free discussion.

The Editorial Board members Prof. Bernhard HF Weber, Prof. Margaret DeAngelis, Prof. Jin-Hua Wang, Prof. Nathan A. Berger, Prof. Shailesh Singh, and Prof. Francesc Palau put forward many constructive suggestions on the aspects of the topics of the Special Issue, manuscripts solicitation, content setting, databases application and the future development of the journal. These suggestions are critical to the future development of JTGG.

Here, the Editorial Office of JTGG would like to convey deep gratitude and best wishes to all the Editorial Board members. JTGG will continue adhering to the principle of high-quality publishing, explore innovative academic topics, publish valuable academic research and advance the field of translational genetics and genomics.
